About Us

We are a church that is just trying to BE the CHURCH. What exactly does this mean, you may ask? 

First, this means that we are striving to be a church that will fulfill the Great Commission as one will read in Matthew 28:19-20.

Second, this means that we will do our best to relate. We want to relate with our community, and we want our congregation to build friendships that will ultimately last a lifetime. When you come to Grundy Baptist, you will find some of the friendliest people in Buchanan County. 

Third, we are striving to be a church that makes disciples that will make disciples. We believe it is very important to build newborn Christians into Christians that will live it out. How do we accomplish this? Some of this will be through one-on-one discipleship, some will take place during our Sunday School hour, some will take place while in Bible studies. Each time you walk through the doors, we want you to know that your life matters!

Fourth, we believe that in order for our church to grow, it must start with us individually. We know that God can do a great work within each of our lives, and we just strive to live out that purpose on a daily basis.
